Kathleen’s Pieces
“The dance piece I have created of which I am the most proud is a solo entitled ‘Ground-Floor Arrangement’ performed at Grinnell College in April, 2008 with lighting design by Jeff Fightmaster of New York City,” states Kathleen.
She remembers her favorite dance piece as a whole that she has been fortunate enough to perform was ‘To Have and To Hold’ by Shapiro and Smith while she was touring with Pennsylvania Dance Theatre. Her and her dancers also performed that piece all over Pennsylvania and toured to Germany. “Good times,” she says. “Challenging, with many bruises, but good times.”
Along with the pristine dances she has performed, she is also proud of founding the only professional modern repertory dance company in Des Moines, with a great group of people to be creative with.
